NODAL
A Japanese sock brand specialized in tabi-style socks, created by Tamai Shoten, a longstanding tabi (traditional Japanese socks) manufacturer founded in 1889. The name "NODAL" refers to the intersection where things meet, signifying the brand's mission to transmit the knowledge and excellence cultivated in tabi manufacturing to the fashion and sports scenes.
Functional Materials
The material uses a blend of cotton-based yarn with antibacterial and deodorizing properties. The backing yarn also has deodorizing effects, particularly effective for sweaty soles. This functional feature comes in handy not only in hot summers but also during winters when shoes tend to get stuffy.
The backing yarn utilizes Japanese rubber yarn. It's woven large and then shrunk to the correct size, providing excellent stretchability and fit.
Comfort Born of Attention to Detail
Pile processing is applied to the toes and soles, enhancing cushioning. The toes are seamlessly finished using a technique called linking, eliminating the discomfort and roughness caused by seams.
The ribbed cuff with a moderate grip allows for various styling preferences. Support is added to the instep to create a shape that fits the foot better.
Supporting Foot Health
The tabi-style design, with the toes separated into two sections, not only serves as a design accent but also offers many health benefits. These include reducing foot fatigue and pain, improving posture and gait, preventing bunions, and alleviating cold feet.
Enjoyable for All Genders
The sizes range from 23 to 27 cm, making them a unisex free size. With a simple design and a wide range of color options, you can enjoy your favorite colors to match your mood and style.
